Staff work on their wellbeing

Paying attention to wellbeing was the aim of our recent staff development day.

Wellbeing at work was the focus of National Work Life Week and the partners of Sefton’s wellbeing collaborative came together for an afternoon of activities and work updates.

Mobile Craft 4 U, a Southport-based social enterprise, got everyone thinking outside the box with their craft workshop and Sam Avery from The Comedy Trust raised a few laughs while raising awareness of the importance humour plays in making people feel better.

Striking the right work-life balance to ensure people’s mental health doesn’t get overloaded is the message of the National Work Life Week and Living Well Sefton’s development day ensured its partners received that message in a fun way.

Karen Nolan, co-ordinator of Living Well Sefton, explains: “Our partners are usually the ones delivering activities to help increase people’s wellbeing so it was good to turn the tables to benefit staff.”

The partners include the Feelgood Factory, May Logan Centre, Brighter Living Partnership, Sefton CAB, Smokefree Sefton, as well as Fun4Kidz and Active Sefton.

“We would like to thank Zulay and Katie from Mobile Craft 4 U and Sam from The Comedy Trust for coming along, it was a real tonic,” comments Karen.
